For my second double page spread im going to analyze this two page spread which is from NME which is a famous rock genre. NME is a very popular rock music magazine which has been out for many years. In the double page spread it contains a big heading saying "The Teenagers," a small pug, 4 pictures and a main background image with also a lot of writing and a little fact sheet in the corner.
The colour scheme doesn't represent well to the house style of red, black and white as the three colours used on this page spread is blue, white and black. I feel that this portrays against the NME house style and colours. As i feel that the magazine colours need to be the same throughout the magazine. And if they aren't house style then I feel it wont be as good. For the titles in the magazine there is a pug styled one in the top left hand corner saying "Radar" also there is the biggest title heading which is the main reason about this double page spread and this is the name of band "The Teenagers" these both have a blue bold border around the writing to make it stand out alot. This is appealing so the customers reading this then know what the main focus is about and who they are. The layout of the writing is placed mainly to the right hand side to show the main image and that nothing goes over it to ruin the image. There are three images at the right hand corner to the page showing what other people are talking about. The speech heading goes across the two pages and it slightly tilted to make them look like it has been written by themselves. There is a pug in the bottom corner promoting this magazine by explaining to the magazine and the audience what the artists "The Teenagers" are about with a mini biography of there history and about them. The font for the writing of the speech heading is the same as the NME logo this is to show the reader that it is a NME magazine. The colour of the font i feel is used very differently and i feel it looks very good as the colours have been made to stand out which they have successfully done. Even though it does not match to the house style.
